This article is from 2017 and somehow outdated. Will be updated soon.

Basic Information[]

Troggington's Minions are aggressive Creatures, often a bit larger than their common non-event brethren, that will only appear when being summoned by a Trog Trap (actually usually only by a Medium Trog Trap or Large Trog Trap), if either the Trog Trap Events "Get to the Capture", "King of the Chill" or "Troggington fights back" are randomly initiated.

Four types of Minions are known:

These strong Creatures cannot be encountered roaming any Creativerse game worlds, instead they can only be randomly "summoned" when Trog Traps are placed. Trog Traps can be obtained during the seasonal Christmas event Elfi's Toy Drive that lasts for ca. one month around Christmas.

Different from other Creatures appearing for other event types that can be summoned by Trog Traps, all of Troggington's Minions are vulnerable to common melee Weapons, Explosives and the like. When being defeated, they will often (but not always) drop Holiday Loot Bags filled with special Christmas-themed item rewards.

Troggington's Minions are usually all wearing dark blue Holiday Pet Hats with white rims and pompom. They will not drop these Hats and these specific blue colored Pet Hats are also not available in the game for your own Pets to wear.

All of these minions will attack player characters at sight and are able to (actually pretty rarely) deal cold damage over time for 3-7 seconds occasionally when hitting your player character, while some attacks will also push your player character back.

Types of Minions[]

Chizzard Minions have the exact same combat skills like common Blizzard Chizzards, rarely dealing cold damage over time for up to 7 seconds occasionally when hitting your player character, especially when they use their "dive attack" to push yor player character back. Even worse, sometimes these Creatures are able to stun your player character, rendering you unable to do anything for 3-5 seconds while your player character is also pushed back at the same time. Chizzard Minions require 9 hits by a Lumite level sword to be killed.

Miru Minions will throw Snowcubes at you that can also push your player character back, as well as sometimes are able to deal cold damage over time for 4 seconds. They require 5 hits dealt with a Lumite level sword to be killed.

Rambeau Minions will attempt to push your player character back and can also deal cold damage over time for 3 seconds occasionally. Just like Miru Minions, they require 5 hits of a Lumite level sword to be killed.

Coolworm Minions can spit a frost fountain similar to the lava fountain of common Warmworms, but the frost fountains of Coolworms will deal cold damage over time. They require 8 hits by a Lumite level sword to be killed.

Spawning[]

Trogginton's Minions are helpers of Troggington and will often randomly be summoned by this seasonal Frost Trog after he has been trapped in either a Medium Trog Trap or Large Trog Trap by players. There is no way for players to control which type of event Troggington will activate though.

Minions will not mind if it's day or night, and different to common Arctic Mirus, even Miru Minions will not burn in sunlight.

As mentioned, Troggington's aggressive Minions will only appear when a Medium Trog Trap initiates the event "Get to the Capture (Tier 1)"; or when a Large Trog Trap initiates the events "Get to the Capture (Tier 2)" or "King of the Chill (Tier 2)" or "Troggington fights back". These events can be started anytime during day and/or night, throughout the year too, as long as you got some Trog Traps left.

Different from that, Target Arctic Mirus that look much like Miru Minions can only be randomly summoned by Small Trog Traps, and merely when the event type "Snowball Fight" is randomly being initiated by such a Small Trog Trap.

Chizzard Spies look a lot like Chizzard Minions, but will wear different types of Holiday Pet Hats (sometimes none at all) and only appear for "Ice Spies" events initiated by placing Trog Traps. (Possible) Chizzard Spies can be randomly summoned by Medium Trog Traps and Large Trog Traps, but also with Small Trog Traps, whenever the event type "Ice Spy" (tier 1-3) is being initiated by the Trog Trap/s.

Using a Mob Spawner[]

Troggington's Minions cannot be spawned on Mob Spawners outside of Christmas event times. Also only some of them will show up on the Mob Spawner menu during event times to be spawned, not all types. However, it is possible that any Creature that a Mob Spawner was set to spawn during the Christmas event might still spawn afterwards, even though this type of Creature cannot be selected on the Mob Spawner menu anymore outside of event times.

It's quite possible that Mob Spawners will become able to spawn some Minions in the future again, when the Christmas event Elfi's Toy Drive will take place once more.

Please note that Mob Spawners are not intended to let you "farm" infinite animal loot. Instead they are Machines that will spawn specific Creatures as a fighting challenge, intended to be used within Adventures created for other players to play.

Creatures spawned on Mob Spawners do not drop any loot and cannot be tamed. However, Adventure creators can provide the first Creature that will be spawned with customary loot that other players will then receive when killing this Creature.

Aggressive player-spawned Creatures can in a way serve as "watch dogs" activated by Sensors or traps wired to them, but will also be aggressive towards the player who placed the Mob Spawners. If Coolworm Minions become spawnable with Mob Spawners, they will be immovable.

Player-spawned aggressive Creatures cannot be set to "peaceful" on the Mob Spawner.

While most aggressive Creatures will automatically be defensive-only if spawned with a Mob Spawner on a game world with the "Pro" world option "peaceful creatures" enabled, event Creatures - which would include all of Troggington's Minions - have so far always been aggressive when spawned with a Mob Spawner, even on game worlds set to "peaceful creatures".

Target Arctic Mirus also cannot be spawned with Mob Spawners anymore, but if this should become possible in the future again, they will most likely be always aggressive as well. Different to Miru Minions, Target Arctic Mirus will once again only be vulnerable to Snowcubes, but not to any common melee Weapon or Explosives.

Behavior[]

As mentioned, Trogginton's Minions that appear within a certain proximity around either a Medium Trog Trap or a Large Trog Trap are always aggressive towards player characters and will attack them on sight if they are in a certain distance. If they should realize that they cannot reach player characters, Minions will usually retreat into a "safe" distance, except for Coolworm Minions that cannot move from their spot.

Please note that these Creatures will even be aggressive on game worlds with the "Pro" world option "peaceful creatures" enabled.

Often, the objective of Trog Trap Events is to kill all the Minions, while only sometimes you will only have to survive staying in the close proximity of Capture Poles while being targeted by Troggington's Minions.

This means that even though Coolworm Minions would be easy to "avoid" since they cannot move, players will still have to engage them in combat in order to complete the event.

Chizzard Minions and Rambeau Minions will usually run up to player characters soon after they appear and will use close combat tactics.

Miru Minions cannot use any close combat tactics though, but will just always throw Snowcubes, even if players come at them to engage them in close combat. Moreover, usually these Minions will not move from the place they have spawned at as long as their Snowcubes can hit player characters, and might even try to distance themselves from players again in order to hit them more properly. Unfortunately (for Miru Minions), they have a pretty terrible aim and might even hit other Minions accidentally.

Target Arctic Mirus would be the same in terms of combat behaviour, however they are only vulnerable to Snowcubes.

Troggington's Minions are not very well visible in the dark, despite their pale colors. It is generally recommended to place Trog Traps into artificial environments prepared for Trog Trap Events, aka "arena".

Combat[]

It is recommended to circle all of Troggington's Minion while whacking them with a melee Weapon to avoid being hit by it. However, since these aggressive Creatures appear during Trog Trap Events, they will often spawn in pairs or groups, sometimes together with other types of Troggington's Minions. Because of this, using Explosives like Armor-Piercing Bombs and Explosive Bombs is very recommended!

Snowcubes won't deal much damage though - not even against Miru Minions, even though they look very similar to the Target Arctic Mirus that appear during "Snowball Fight" events where they are only vulnerable to Snowcubes but not to any other weapons. Still, it's not wrong to set up some Snowball Turrets to help with fighting if you have any spare ones (since they will vanish after their time runs out if you don't pick them up again quickly enough).

Since update R30 on April 6th 2016 all Creatures can swim, so liquids will not stop them from pursuing or fighting player characters any longer. But Troggington's Minions could perhaps still drown when being trapped in/under liquids for too long, even though they seem to be immune to elemental damage dealt by Freeze Bombs, Fire Bombs, Corrupt Bombs, Corrupted Water liquid Lava and the like. However, they can usually be stunned with Stun Bombs and pushed away with Snowcubes and Force Bombs.

Like all other Creatures, Trogginton's Minions except for Coolworms can climb one or two blocks upwards, but not three blocks or higher without any steps, not even on worlds with low gravity (while your player character can use low gravity to jump up 5 blocks or more). So they can be held back by high walls (probably activated with a Block Phaser), but of course also by fences, wicket gates, doors and the like.

Chizzard Minions[]

Chizzard Minions can be killed by 9 hits with a Lumite Sword (or Legendary Golden Sword or Rainbownator 5000 or any other Lumite level sword).

In general, these Creatures seem to have the same combat behaviour as common Blizzard Chizzards. They flap with their wings and hit player characters with their feet while hovering above the ground, and their special attacks are swoops that will push player characters up and back, sometimes dealing cold damage over time for 3 seconds.

However, Chizzard Minions can deal more damage than Blizzard Chizzards, are tougher to defeat, and their special attack (after flying up, the Chizzard Minion will nosedive towards the player character) will not only send the player character flying backwards and upwards, but can occasionally stun the player character for 3-4 seconds, rendering them unable to do anything during this time.

(Possible) Chizzard Spies on the other hand are defensive Creatures, not aggressive ones, and such will only defend themselves when being attacked by player characters.

(Possible) Chizzard Spies are also different in that they can be killed by 4 hits of any kind of melee weapon, no matter if a Lumite Sword or a simple (indestructible) Twig.

When defending themselves, they will use the same combat abilities as Chizzard Minions and Blizzard Chizzards have - hitting with their feet while hovering above the ground, and occasionally using nosedive attacks. However, their attacks will not stun player characters, but instead can sometimes deal cold damage over time for 9 seconds.

Miru Minions[]

Miru Minions can be killed by 5 hits with a Lumite Sword (or Legendary Golden Sword or Rainbownator 5000 or any other Lumite level sword).

The interesting thing about Miru Minions is that they cannot use any close combat tactics, but will always throw Snowcubes. Whenever a Snowcube hits a player character, it will deal cold damage over time for 4 seconds.

Miru Minions usually will not move from the place they have spawned at, but might come at least a little closer if they cannot hit player characters with Snowcubes otherwise because of the distance or obstacles. If you run up to them to engage them in close combat, they will keep on throwing their Snowcubes and sometimes even try to take a step back to improve their aim.

An even more interesting fact is that Miru Minions are actually pretty bad at throwing Snowcubes. Most of their throws will miss player characters, but sometimes (actually even more often in a crowd) they might hit their fellow Minions instead, which will inflict damage to them as well as push them upwards into the sky.

The same can be said about Target Arctic Mirus all in all, however their only vulnerability is against Snowcubes being thrown at them that can defeat them in just one hit.

Target Arctic Mirus are also always aggressive and can only use ranged combat as well by throwing Snowcubes that will (also) deal 4 seconds of cold damage over time.

However, since only one bull's eye with a Snowcube can defeat Target Arctic Mirus and make them vanish in a puff of smoke, they can knock each other out very easily too. A Target Arctic Miru that has been hit by the Snowcube of their fellow/s will be launched upwards and then go poof there.

Rambeau Minions[]

Rambeau Minions can be killed by 5 hits with a Lumite Sword (or Legendary Golden Sword or Rainbownator 5000 or any other Lumite level sword).

In general, these Creatures seem to have the same combat behaviour as common peaceful Rambeaus. They can hit player characters by swinging their horns to the left (as seen by the player) and then to the right (this will not hit the player character a second time though), sometimes dealing cold damage over time for 3 seconds by that. Once in a while they can also ram player characters frontally, pushing them back and upwards, sometimes dealing cold damage over time for 3 seconds again.

Rambeau Minions can deal more damage than Blizzard Chizzards, are tougher to defeat, and their attack seems to deal cold damage over time for one second longer too.

Coolworm Minions[]

Coolworm Minions can be killed by 8 hits with a Lumite Sword (or Legendary Golden Sword or Rainbownator 5000 or any other Lumite level sword).

In general, these Creatures seem to have the same combat behaviour as Warmworms. They can bite player characters within their reach frontally with their "beak" or can use a "Frost Fountain" very similar to the "Lava Fountain" of Warmworms.

To activate their Frost Fountain, the Coolworm Minions will elongate upwards and then erupt small cubes of ice or snow together with frost sparkles that will deal cold damage over time for as long as they hit player characters. However, this usually only is the case for 1-2 seconds and will not keep on inflicting damage, while the Lava Fountains of Warmworms will set player characters on fire and keep on dealing fire damage over time for a few additional seconds.

To compensate for this, Coolworm Minions are a bit tougher than Warmworms (they take more hits to kill).

Loot[]

When killed, Troggington's Minions can randomly (not always) drop 1-5 stacks of items in a Holiday Loot Bag.

These special Loot Bags will nearly always contain 1-2 Rescued Toys.

Their Loot Bags can additionally randomly contain:

Target Arctic Mirus and Chizzard Spies will never drop any Loot Bags in comparison to that.

Taming[]

Troggington's Minions cannot be tamed and will refuse to become your Pets. They are probably only loyal to Troggington III. The same goes for Target Arctic Mirus and all types of Troggington's Spies.
