Shorewood are wood-blocks taken from Shorewood-trees. The palmtree-like Shorewood-trees can be found on sandy Shores of the Oceans, on Sand around oases or on sandy river banks in Dunes or Savannah-biomes.

Blocks of Shorewood, Shorewood Husks and Shorewood Leaves can all be harvested/pulled with your arctek-gauntlet without needing any Power Cells. If you use Stone Mining Cells or better to pull leaves, these stronger Power Cells will not even lose durability.

Shorewood trees are highly flammable, and as they grow in warm environments, it's dangerous to place torches on their stems, especially when a block of Shorewood, Shorewood Husk or Shorewood Leaves is right above the flame; as the whole tree and every other flammable plant and material close to it might go up in flames and burn down to nothingness.

One block of Shorewood can be made either into 2 Wood Slabs or 8 Wood Rods each in the Processor. Taking/crafting Shredded Leaves will unlock the recipe for three types of colored carpets. Shredded Leaves burn even easierly than fresh leaves when being placed (even on snow) and can be used as a fuse for Explosives very well.

Shorewood can be placed as solid blocks for decoration and can also be used for building; however they will make creatures spawn, especially Chizzards during the day, but also Night Chizzards in darkness.

Shorewood can be used as Fuel for the Forge, however 2 blocks of Wood are needed and used up for each melting-/hardening-process. Also each melting-/hardening process in the forge will take a little longer than Coal when you use Wood as fuel.

Shorewood can be corrupted into Corrupted Wood, for example by using Corrupt Bombs on them or placing blocks of corrupted wood next to them. By that Shorewood will turn into better fuel, but has to be picked up using Lumite Mining Cells, which will reduce the durability of the Mining Cells quite a bit (just like pulling all other kinds of corrupted blocks).

If you purify Corrupted Wood, it will turn into Cragwood, even if it was Shorewood before being corrupted.

Currently (as of R25 in November 2015) you cannot plant Queen Bees on Shorewood to grow Beeswax, you cannot grow Shorewood-trees from Saplings, and there are no Shorewood Flowers (nor coconuts). In older versions of Creativerse, the underside of Shorewood Leaves looked like cubic nuts were embedded, but the blocks were still leaves, not nuts.

As of R25 in November 2015 you can use unprocessed Shorewood to craft:
