Basic information[]
Retro Brick Stairs is a L-shaped building block that looks made of pixelated reddish bricks. It is the stair version of Retro Brick Wall, and is part of the Super Retro Bundle recipe pack in the Store.
How to obtain[]
Retro Brick Stairs can be crafted in your Crafting Menu (to be opened by pressing "q" as the default key), but only after the according crafting recipe has been unlocked by buying the Super Retro Bundle from the Store. You can also obtain it by buying a building kit for a Blueprint that contains Retro Brick Stairs.
How to unlock the crafting recipe[]
The crafting recipe for Retro Brick Stairs can be unlocked by buying the Super Retro Bundle from the Store. There is no other way to obtain the recipe.
How to craft[]
To craft 8 (blocks of) Retro Brick Stairs, you'll need:
- 1 Adobe Bricks made from Mud in the Forge
- 1 Glob of Goo obtained from Creatures or crafted from Mold
- 1 Red Mushroom either found on the surface or grown from Red Mushroom Spores
How to use[]
Retro Brick Stairs can be placed into the game world for building purposes by putting (a stack of) them into your quickbar, selecting the according quickslot and clicking the right mouse button while pointing at a spot in the game world with your cursor. When placed as common stairs, each Stairs block will smooth the player character's movement up and down gradients so no jumping will be necessary to overcome the height of one block.
Like all other building blocks, Retro Brick Stairs can be rotated into all directions by pressing and holding R and then pointing the mouse cursor at the block and moving the mouse while holding the left mouse button. The chosen rotation angle can be "locked" too by simply typing "r" while looking at an already rotated object or block; then all items of the same stack in the selected quickslot will automatically be facing the same direction when placed.
Like most other placeable items, Retro Brick Stairs can be painted, with the primary color influencing the color of the bricks, and the secondary color influencing the color of the lines between the bricks. They can also be put into displays, where they will be shown at a reduced size.
You won't need any Power Cells (Mining Cell) to pick up blocks of Retro Brick Stairs that have been placed into the game world. Of course you won't be able to pick up such objects on game worlds, on player claims or in Adventures where your Permission rank is not sufficient (mainly when you are merely a visitor), which can only be changed by the owner of the game world, claim owner or Adventure creator.
How to process Retro Brick Stairs further[]
1 inner or 1 outer corner blocks can be created by putting one block of Retro Brick Stairs into a Processor.
No crafting recipe is required for this. Simply carry blocks of Retro Brick Stairs with you in your inventory and activate a Processor that has been placed into the world with right-click or "f" (as the default key) while pointing the cursor at the Processor.
