Basic Information[]

This Wiki article is about rare Recipes that can be found or obtained in the shape of Recipe Pages and Recipe Books in Creativerse.

For a list of Crafting Recipes in the Crafting Menu (including rare, seasonal and Store-exclusive ones), their unlocking requirements and the crafting ingredients that are necessary to craft them, please refer to the according Wiki article Crafting Recipes.

Tradeable Recipe pages and Recipe books can be obtained in different ways in Creativerse. Some of these rare Recipes look like Books, while others look like Scrolls ("Recipe Pages") or slightly crumpled Sheets of Paper (also called "Recipe Pages").

While their look has indicated their rarity level during Early Access (Recipe Books being the most rare type), this is no longer the case.

These Recipes can be learnt and such be permanently added to the crafting menu, available on all worlds. They are not for single use only.

Since update R50 rare Recipe Books and Recipe Pages (including the seasonal ones) now have a check mark added to their top left corner as soon as you have learnt one of them once and can already find them in your crafting menu (to be opened by typing "Q" as the default key).

The small icon on the recipe in the bottom right corner is a preview of the block or item that can be crafted after this recipe has been learnt. The numbers in the right bottom corner simply indicate the amount of recipes that the stack consist of, just like with most other items.

Since 2018, you can preview most of the rare Recipes that you are still missing as "locked" entries in your crafting menu if you activate the small round button next to "Hide Locked Recipes" at the bottom of your crafting menu. You cannot preview Store-exclusive Premium Recipes this way, and also not all of the seasonal Recipes.

Types of Crafting Recipes[]

In Creativerse different types of crafting recipes exist:

  • common crafting recipes that are part of the Crafting Menu (to be opened with the default key "Q") and greyed out until they are unlocked by collecting specific materials and crafting certain items
  • 4 crafting recipes for the Cooking Station, one of which (Soup) is already unlocked when crafting and placing the Cooking Station
  • Store-exclusive crafting recipes to be bought in Recipe Packs for Coins that are to be paid with real money via Store and Steam Wallet ("Coins" TAB of the Store)
  • event-themed Recipe pages and Recipe books that can be found or traded from NPCs on game world only for a limited timespan each around seasonal festivities like Halloween or Christmas. Surplus Recipes of this type can be collected and then given to other players, but only when meeting on the game world of the collector
  • non-tradeable event-themed Recipes that can only be claimed during the according event times, like Pumpkiru's Community Candy Campaign or Elfi's Community Toy Drive. During community events, certain actions of each Creativerse player are counted on a slider and will unlock rewards as soon as specific numbers are reached. These rewards can then be claimed by all players when clicking on the according reward icon in the game main menu or alternatively ingame, but only during event times. No surplus Recipe pages or Recipe books can be claimed or obtained
  • many rare Recipes that can be obtained with a bit of luck from randomly spawning Treasure Chests and/or certain from Creatures on all Creativerse game worlds
  • please note that many pre-machined crafting materials and blocks (like Columns, Bars, transparent Glass, Slabs, Rods, Pigment etc.) can be produced in the Processor or in the Forge without requiring any crafting recipes to be unlocked or used
  • some more blocks and materials can be created by using the Plow on certain natural blocks like Wood or Leaves, additionally to using the Plow on Dirt, Grass or Mud to create tilled land to grow Crops. Using the Plow also does not require any crafting recipe

This article is mainly about rare crafting Recipes that players can collect from Treasure Chests and/or Creatures and can also share (especially surplus duplicates that have been found) with other players.

This includes some, but not all, temporarily available event Recipes (to be found further below).

After learning ("consuming") such rare Recipes with right click on the recipe book or recipe page in the inventory, they will be permanently added to your Crafting Menu and will then be available on all Creativerse game worlds, even if the world option "world bound recipes" is enabled.

How to obtain[]

Currently many of these rare Recipes can be found in Treasure Chests.

However some recipes can only be found in either low-tier Treasure Chests like Wood Treasure Chests, Stone Treasure Chests or Obsidian Treasure Chests - and others only in high-tier Treasure Chests, which means Iron Treasure Chests (that spawn on blocks of the Lava layer in darkness) or Diamond Treasure Chests (that spawn on Corrupted Blocks in darkness).

Since update R48 "Pumpkiru's Candy Campaign Continues" on October 26th 2017, rare Recipes have become more common in Treasure Chests, especially in Wood Treasure Chests. While finding only one rare Recipe was once a 5 to 10 percent chance, you can now even find two rare Recipes at a time very often, sometimes even three rare Recipes.

Creatures also will provide you with rare Recipes now and then, especially Things and Keepas of any kind. These Creatures can carry many different Recipes with them. If you tame them, feed them and then harvest from them, you might receive less items all in all, but in time you can collect many crafting rare Recipes in a very easy way by that.

The rare crafting Recipe for the Super Extractor can solely be obtained from the very dangerous Things that spawn on Corrupted Blocks in darkness (during day and night).

Since February 14th 2019, the rare crafting Recipe for Plum Blossoms can solely be obtained from Pigsy-type Creatures (Pigsy, Night Pigsy, Night Hoglet, Feral Pigsy, BossHog), mainly as a pet-harvest, only rarely as a loot after killing them. The rare crafting Recipe for the Year of the Pig Lantern will soon become obtainable the same way.

A few rare Recipes (Banded Weathered Wood Walls, Barred Wood Windows and Weathered Wood Walls) can currently be obtained from Creatures living in Canyons Biomes, namely Trogs, Dustevils and Dried Leafies - additional to finding them in low tier Treasure Chests occasionally as well.

All but one rare Recipe (the Super Extractor as mentioned above) can be obtained both from Treasure Chests and also from Creatures (mainly from Keepas, Silver Keepas, Golden Keepas and Things).

Some special rare Recipes can only be found during event times in special containers that will only spawn during one month. During the first Pumpkiru's Candy Campaign on October 18th 2017, the first NPCs were introduced to the game - The Great Pumpkiru and Pumpkiru Jr.. These randomly spawning traders at first offered 3 types of event-themed treasure chests with random content to players, to be "paid" with Pumpkiru Candy that could be collected through different means.

During the second Pumpkiru's Candy Campaign that started on October 24th 2018 and ended on November 14th 2018, the Pumpkirus directly offered Halloween-themed items, rare seasonal Recipes and Costumes as a shop-like assortment to be directly selected and paid individually with Pumpkiru Candy that could be collected by hunting Ghost Creatures and successfully completing Idol Events.

During the first Elfi's Toy Drive, the seasonal Christmas event that started on December 13th 2017, randomly spawning Elfis offered a list of Christmas-themed rare Recipes to be paid with Rescued Toys that could mainly be collected by successfully completing Trog Trap Events and looting randomly spawning Holiday Gifts.

During these Halloween and Christmas event-times, more than just one rare seasonal Recipe books and Recipe pages could be bought from the NPC traders, the surplus books and pages could then be stored away in order to be given to other players later on.

It's possible to learn rare Recipes except for all the seasonal ones in player Adventures, if the Adventure creator has placed duplicates of rare Recipes into storage containers that you are allowed to access.

Seasonal Recipes (meaning the spare event-specific Halloween-related Recipes like "Haunted" ones, and Christmas-related Recipes like "Holiday" ones) cannot be traded via Adventures anymore since the Galactic Update R46 on September 6th 2017.

Please note that you cannot transfer any items like Recipe pages or Recipe books from any game world to another game world nor from Adventures to player game worlds. In order to permanently add rare Recipes to your crafting menu, you will have to right-click rare Recipes or drag & drop them over your character "doll" in the inventory screen.

Only then you will be able to transfer the knowledge how to craft this recipe as part of your Crafting Menu to other game worlds, and then you can properly craft the according items on other Creativerse game worlds, even those that have the "Pro" world option "world-bound recipes" disabled.

How to learn rare Recipes[]

You can learn all of the rare crafting Recipes that you can find either by clicking on their icon in your inventory/bag with the right mouse button (by default) or by dragging them from the inventory over your player-character's model to the right side of the inventory, exactly like for consuming Food or Mushrooms.

Then the crafting Recipe will vanish from your inventory and a message will appear telling you that you have successfully learnt this rare Recipe.

If you already know that specific crafting recipe, the rare Recipe will not be used up and you will receive a message informing you that you already know this crafting recipe. In this case the rare Recipe will also have a check mark over its icon even that informs you that attempting to learn it again will amount to nothing.

You can store all the duplicates of rare Recipes and you can give them to other players who don't know these crafting recipes yet. Recipe books and Recipe pages can't be put into any quickslots and cannot be placed into the world directly, but they can be stored in storage container/chests and can be given to other players by using the same storage container with the required permission settings.

Another option is to drop a player bag from your inventory by dragging Recipes over the bag icon next to the garbage bin icon (in the bottom right corner below your inventory window) with your left mouse button and dropping it there. Be careful though: if nobody picks up the player bag and everyone leaves the area, the player bag will vanish like any full or only half-looted Loot Bag would that drops from any Creature.

Rare Recipes (and Store-bought Recipes) are never world bound[]

All of the rare Recipes that you have learnt by right-click or drag & drop will "carry over" to new/other game worlds in your Crafting Menu just like all the crafting Recipes that you have bought from the Store with Coins or claimed for free if they had been available for free (like the Forbidden City Bundle for example, or the very rare Rainbownator 5000 recipe).

This applies even to game worlds where the game world option "world bound recipes" is enabled in your Crafting Menu (so all common crafting recipes will have to be unlocked again on such game worlds).

Players who have bought or obtained the Pro DLC can disable this game world option for their own worlds, but this will not remove any rare Recipes from your crafting menu after you have learnt them, which also applies to seasonal recipes (Halloween and Christmas) as well as to all Store-exclusive crafting recipes that you have bought with Coins (or rarely claimed for free).

Even when starting to play on a new game world, all these rare Recipes will already be available in your Crafting Menu right from the start there.

High-tier Recipes and low-tier Recipes[]

Low-tier recipes are those that can most often be discovered in low-tier chests like Wood Treasure Chests, Stone Treasure Chests and Obsidian Treasure Chests, while high-tier recipes can only be found in high-tier Treasure Chests like Iron Treasure Chests and Diamond Treasure Chests.

Despite these classifications that were invented during early Creativerse days, low-tier recipes do not have a higher chance to appear as a finding or drop in Creativerse, and high-tier recipes cannot be found less often.

In actual fact, some high-tier recipes have a significantly higher chance of appearing in high-tier Treasure Chests than others and can often additionally being dropped/pet-harvested from Creatures like Things, Silver Keepas or Golden Keepas. Several rare recipes can be obtained from ordinary blue Keepas too, however mainly as a pet-harvest and only rarely.

Only a few low-tier recipes are a lot more common than others because they cannot only appear in Wood Treasure Chests, but can also occasionally be dropped/pet-harvested from Creatures like Trogs, Dried Leafies and Dustevils (like Weathered Wood Wall, Banded Weathered Wood Wall, Barred Wood Window).

Things will often drop a lot of rare Recipes, and also provide players with some rare Recipes when they are Pets and have been fed their favorite Food. So you can easily collect a much larger number of high-tier recipes duplicates like for Beacons or Adobe Blocks after you have tamed a Thing and harvest from it regularly, while you might otherwise need to search for a long time for low-tier rare recipes like for colored Beds or "decorative" Walls/Floors.

Please note that Pets will always only provide you with their best harvest if you feed them their exact type of favorite Food. If the Pet prefers common Sandwiches for example, but you feed them Turnip Sandwiches, their harvest will be of lower quality and smaller amount. Even if you feed a modest Pet another Food type of a higher "quality", the Pet will still provide you with a less interesting harvest, since it's not its favorite fodder.

"Farming" rare Recipes[]

To make specific Treasure Chests and/or Creatures that carry rare Recipes appear, you can create artificial Biomes on the surface of the world, underground or even in the sky using natural blocks that chests and/or the Creatures you are searching for will usually spawn on - to "farm" them then.

Note that only one or two chests will spawn (but not every time!) as soon as you arrive at these arenas. Chests will only spawn in darkness, and most often at nightfall, so using a Bed to skip the day is recommended. Leaving the area can make Treasure Chests despawn that have already popped up, and revisiting areas more than once within the same night will most likely not make new chests spawn with each revisit.

Event-themed Recipes[]

Before update R46 was introduced to Creativerse on September 6th 2017, players could learn event-themed rare Recipes from spare Recipe Books and Recipe Pages that other players would make available within Adventures. Since update R46 this is no longer possible.

Tradeable rare Recipes (Recipe Books and Recipe Pages) that have been collected during events can still be given to other players when they visit the game worlds where the collectors have been able to store surplus duplicates of these Recipes.

Learning these recipes will consume the tradeable recipe page or recipe book (it will vanish), but the recipe will be permanently added to the crafting menu of the player character that has learnt the Recipe and carry over to all game worlds, including those with the "Pro" world option "recipes don't carry over" ("fresh start") enabled. Items like recipe books or recipe pages cannot be transferred to other game worlds

Pumpkiru Candy could be collected by hunting Ghost Creatures during the night or by placing Haunted Idols (obtained from free Idol Login Chests during Halloween event times), or Infused Haunted Idols or Unleashed Haunted Idols that would initiate combat events.

Non-tradeable rare Recipes from Halloween 2017 became Recipe books in 2018[]

1. Pumpkin Chest

After the Candy Thief Reward was unlocked during the Pumpkiru's Community Candy Campaign, players could obtain one more crafting Recipe for a Halloween-themed storage chest by clicking on the left/first pumpkin icon on the slider for this event (either on the main game screen or ingame above the opened inventory window) and claiming the Candy Thief Reward item bundle, containing the crafting recipe for the Pumpkin Chest.

2. Royal Pumpkin Chest

After the Candy Thief Accolade was unlocked during the Pumpkiru's Community Candy Campaign, players could obtain one more crafting Recipe for a Halloween-themed storage chest by clicking on the middle/second pumpkin icon on the slider for this event (either on the main game screen or ingame above the opened inventory window) and claiming the Candy Thief Accolade item bundle, containing the crafting recipe for the Royal Pumpkin Chest.

3. Pumpkiru's King Chest

4. Candy Skull Candles

5. Blue Candy Skull Candle

6. Red Candy Skull Candle

7. Yellow Candy Skull Candle

8. Candy Skull Banner

9. Candy Skull Statue

After the Ultimate Candy Thief Bounty was unlocked during the Pumpkiru's Community Candy Campaign, players could obtain several more rare crafting Recipes by clicking on the right/third pumpkin icon on the slider for this event (either on the main game screen or ingame above the opened inventory window) and claiming the Ultimate Candy Thief Bounty item bundle.

As mentioned above, the Ultimate Candy Thief Bounty contained the following rare Halloween-themed crafting Recipes: Pumpkiru's King Chest, Candy Skull Candles, Blue Candy Skull Candle, Red Candy Skull Candle, Yellow Candy Skull Candle, Candy Skull Banner and Candy Skull Statue.

Please note that all the 9 rewards (in total) for Pumpkiru's Community Candy Campaign did not provide players with any tradeable rare Recipes, so they could not be shared with other players.

Halloween 2016[]

During Haunted Nights around Halloween 2016, Ghost Creatures appeared in the night and when killed (they cannot be tamed), they dropped Halloween-themed crafted blocks and items, however more rarely they also dropped these rare Recipes:

  1. Haunted Floor
  2. Haunted Stairs
  3. Haunted Roof
  4. Carpeted Haunted Stairs
  5. Haunted Wall
  6. Haunted Stone Wall
  7. Haunted Door
  8. Haunted Gravestone
  9. Haunted Pumpkin
  10. Haunted Lamp

Players can still give these Recipes to other players if they have surplus duplicates stored on their game worlds.

Christmas 2018[]

During the event Elfi's Wonderland from December 19th 2018 to January 25th 2019, invulnerable NPCs called Elfis randomly spawn on on Ice and Snow blocks on top of stacks of gift boxes during day and night. All Elfis offer several rare Recipes, items and Costumes for trade, to be paid in Rescued Toys. Green compass symbols will lead players to any nearby Elfis.

Recipes traded from Elfis come as Recipe books or Recipe pages, so surplus Recipes can be given to other players (not via Adventures though) on the same game world.

Rescued Toys can be collected from some of the Holiday Gifts that randomly spawn during day and night on blocks of Snow and Ice during Christmas event-times, and occasionally, Rescued Toys can also be looted from some of the Loot Bags that Reinbeaus and the rare Reaudolphs will drop when killed (they cannot be tamed).

Rescued Toys can also be obtained (in larger numbers) by successfully completing Trog Trap Events that can be immediately started by placing Trog Traps:

  • either Small Trog Traps (that can be collected from free daily Trog Trap Login Chests or from Holiday Gifts, or from the Loot Bags Reinbeaus and Reaudolfs for free during Christmas event-times, or can be bought as part of block kits for player-made Blueprints with Coins),
  • or Medium Trog Traps (that can be bought for Coins as parts of block kits for player-made Blueprints or can be collected from the reward chests that will appear after successfully completing Trog Trap Events that were initiated by placing Small Trog Traps)
  • or Large Trog Traps (that can be bought for Coins as parts of block kits for player-made Blueprints or can be collected collected from the Trog Trap Events reward chests for completed challenges that were initiated by placing Medium Trog Traps).

Recipes "sold" by Elfis for Rescued Toys during Christmas Holidays 2018[]

A. in Elfi's "Featured" TAB, these NPC offer:

The Recipe Pages can be stored as items too and given to other players on the same game world. The Recipe Pages can be learnt (by right-click or drag-and-drop) and will then permanently be added to the Crafting Menu. From then on they will be available on all game worlds, even those with the "Pro" world option "recipes don't carry over" ("fresh start") enabled. Surplus Recipe Pages can be purchased, stored and given to other players on the same game world (as usual, any learnt Recipe Pages will be consumed), but not via Adventures.

B. in Elfi's "Recipes" TAB, Elfis offer:

The Recipe Books from this item pack can be stored as items too and given to other players on the same game world. The Recipe Books can be learnt (by right-click or drag-and-drop) and will then permanently be added to the Crafting Menu. From then on they will be available on all game worlds, even those with the "Pro" world option "recipes don't carry over" ("fresh start") enabled. Surplus Recipe Books can be purchased, stored and given to other players on the same game world (as usual, any learnt Recipe Books will be consumed), but not via Adventures.

Make-a-Wish Donation Bundles in the Store during Christmas Holidays 2018[]

During the Christmas event Elfi's Wonderland, 4 different Make-a-Wish Donation Bundles are available in the Store in the "Coins" TAB. They can be bought via Steam wallet, not with ingame Coins. 100% of proceeds go to The Make-A-Wish Foundation.

All 4 Make-a-Wish Donation Bundles (Make-a-Wish Bronze Donation Bundle, Make-a-Wish Silver Donation Bundle, Make-a-Wish Gold Donation Bundle and Make-a-Wish Platinum Donation Bundle) contain (20 to 500) Rescued Toys depending on the bundle type and price (differing prices depending on your country), plus:

In actual fact, these Donation bundles are rather Item Packs than Recipe Packs, because they contain Recipe Pages that can be stored as items too and given to other players on the same game world. The Recipe Pages can be learnt (by right-click or drag-and-drop) and will then permanently be added to the Crafting Menu.

From then on the recipes will be available on all game worlds, even those with the "Pro" world option "recipes don't carry over" ("fresh start") enabled. Surplus Recipe Pages can be purchased, stored and given to other players on the same game world (as usual, any learnt Recipe Pages will be consumed), but not via Adventures.

Make-A-Wish bundles claimable for free during Elfi's Wonderland event[]

These bundles contain account-bound Recipes that will automatically be added to the Crafting Menu and do not come in the shape of Recipe Pages or Recipe Books, so they cannot be stored nor given to other players.

Please note that the rare Recipes from these bundles will not be added to your inventory/bag in the shape of Recipe Pages or Recipe Books. Instead, they will automatically be permanently added to your Crafting Menu as soon as you claim the Make-A-Wish community reward bundles in the Store. The recipes will then be available in your Crafting Menu on all other game worlds too, even if the "Pro" world option "world bound recipes" ("fresh start") is enabled.

After claiming the Make-A-Wish community reward bundles, the Christmas-themed Costumes can be found in their according Costume slots when customizing your character. You can either do this from the main game screen before entering any game world by clicking on the button "customize character" at the feet of your player character model, or in any game world by clicking on the word "Costume" over your 3D player character's model on the right side of the inventory/bag.

You can claim the crafted items from these bundles on any game world of your choice. The items from the bundles will be placed into your inventory and any free slots of your quickbar. Please note that they will not be packed into just one wooden container (each) when you claim the item bundle! Instead, all the items will be placed directly in your inventory (7 stacks for the Make-A-Wish bundle Tier 1, 8 stacks for the Make-A-Wish bundle Tier 2 and 6 stacks for the Make-A-Wish bundle Tier 3), so please make room for them before claiming these bundles on a game world!

Item Packs Christmas 2018[]

During the Christmas event Elfi's Wonderland and most likely for a longer while after the event has ended, two more Item Packs were added to the Store that actually contain tradeable Recipe books and Recipe pages:

Elfi's Wonderland Bundle 2018 contains 1 seasonal rare Recipe Page each for: red Poinsettias, Holiday Wreaths, Holiday Garlands (creates bows at outer corners), Red Ornaments, Magic Snow Globes (activatable in order to let it snow), White Wood Floors (flammable), White Wood Walls (flammable), and several wintry items. The golden snow globes (Leafi Snow Globe, Pigsy Snow Globe, Trog Snow Globe and Reaudolph Snow Globe) are included as special non-craftable items without any Recipe. Different to the craftable Magic Snow Globe, the 4 golden Snow Globes cannot be wired or activated, but on the other hand they can be fully rotated.

The Recipe Pages from this item pack can be learnt (by right-click or drag-and-drop) and will then permanently be added to the Crafting Menu. From then on they will be available on all game worlds, even those with the "Pro" world option "recipes don't carry over" ("fresh start") enabled. Surplus Recipes can be purchased, stored and given to other players on the same game world (as usual, any learnt Recipe Pages will be consumed), but not via Adventures.

Elfi's Toy Drive Bundle 2017 contains 1 seasonal rare Recipe Book each for: Gingerbread Walls, Brick Gingerbread Walls, Swirl Gingerbread Walls, Tiled Gingerbread Walls, Gingerbread Roofs, Gingerbread Windows, Gingerbread Doors, Wafer Gingerbread Roofs, Gingerbread Stairs, Gingerbread Chimneys, Red Gift Boxes, Blue Gift Boxes, Green Gift Boxes, Yellow Holiday Lights, Blue Holiday Lights, Red Holiday Lights, Green Holiday Lights, Candy Cane Walls, Candy Cane Fences, Candy Cane Gates, Holiday Decorative Trees, Shur-Ice-Ns, Blizzard Bombs, Snowball Turrets, Blocky the Snowman, New Year's Fireworks, Holiday Music Boxes, and

This item bundle does not contain the seasonal rare Recipe for Frozen Containers (neither does the Elfi's Wonderland 2018 bundle). The Recipe Books from this item pack can be learnt (by right-click or drag-and-drop) and will then permanently be added to the Crafting Menu.
