Basic Information[]
Mob Summoners will immediately make a Creature spawn.
Different from Mob Spawners, the Creatures spawned by Mob Summoners can be tamed in order to become Pets, and when killed, they will drop the exact same loot that a "normally" spawning Creature would drop that appears in "the wild" on their designated natural blocks under certain conditions.
How to obtain[]
These items cannot be crafted or found in the game world. Instead, Mob Summoners can only be obtained from the Creator Mode inventory in Creative Worlds. However, they can also be stored in storage chests and can be given to other players on the same world.
How to use[]
Mob Summoners can be used from the quickbar with right-click (like you'd place an item) - when doing so, the according Creature will immediately appear in front of the player character. Careful: aggressive Creatures will attack the player character on game worlds where the world option "passive Creatures" is disabled (which is disabled by default). Also, ghostly red Creatures will always be aggressive, even on "peaceful" game worlds.
Mob Summoners cannot be placed into the game world as objects per se. However, many of them can be put on display by placing them into the slots of display containers like Placemats, Stone Wall Shelves, Galactic Grav-Chambers, Hidden Temple Altars, Frozen Containers, Snow Buried Containers, Wood Planters, Flower Pots, Holiday Mantles, Holiday Decorative Trees, Cabernatious Cabinets and the like. You cannot rotate any items when they're on display, but you can rotate most display containers together with all of the items inside.
The Creatures on display will stay put, but will show/play their idle animations.
As of March 21st 2020, Pigsies can even be painted when you put a Pigsy Summoner on display.
