Basic Information[]

Leaves are natural solid blocks which can be found on trees and "bushes" (really small trees) on all Creativerse worlds.

Please note that Leaves do not decay by themselves in Creativerse, as they are not simply decorative items, but useful for many purposes, like as building blocks, as a Fuel for the Forge (even more useful if corrupted by Corrupt Bombs), as raw materials for Shredded Leaves and/or as crafting ingredients for seasonal crafts.

Crafting Recipes that accept "any kind" of Leaves like LED Tree Blocks, Holiday Decorative Trees, Holiday Garlands and Holiday Wreaths can make use of most uncorrupted tree Leaves as a crafting ingredient except for Dark Wildwood Leaves.

Shredded Leaves can be made in a Processor from all uncorrupted tree Leaves except for Snowy Elderwood Leaves.

Forges can use Corrupted Leaves of all kinds and all uncorrupted tree Leaves as Fuel, but not Shredded Leaves.

List of tree Leaves[]

The following types of tree Leaves exist in Creativerse:

How to obtain[]

You can collect all Leaves except for Corrupted Leaves by using your ArcTek Gauntlet to pull them without even needing to equip any Power Cell. Equipping Mining Cells will make harvesting a much quicker process, especially Lumite Mining Cells.

All types of Corrupted Leaves (also Corrupted Ashenwood Leaves and Corrupted Elderwood Leaves) require either Diamond Mining Cells or Lumite Mining Cells to be equipped and will cause them to lose durability when being picked up. Upon harvesting, most types of Corrupted Leaves will turn into common Corrupted Leaves, except for Ashenwood and Elderwood.

Mining Cells will not lose durability when picking up uncorrupted Leaves. Only old Wood Mining Cells that cannot be crafted or obtained on newer game worlds any longer would still lose durability even when pulling uncorrupted tree Leaves.

All unharvested Leaves will just stay floating in the air, together with Flowers that some trees have grown and can (re)grow on tree Leaves, also any Vines and Queen Bees that can also grow/spawn on Leaves and will transform into a patch of Beeswax within a few RL hours.

If you want to collect uncorrupted Leaves faster than one by one, you can use Basic Excavators that will remove up to 7x7x7 blocks at once and save half of these blocks in their loot bags. However, in order to collect Corrupted Leaves of any kind, you will need Super Excavators.

Leaves blocks can be bought as parts of (customizable) building kits for any customizable Blueprint with Coins, which in return are purchasable for real money via Steam Wallet in the ingame Store. You can use Blueprints that you have captured yourself with Capture Blocks, as well as Blueprints that were made by other players and that you have subscribed to in the Steam Creativerse workshop, or Blueprints that you have customized with the type of Leaves you need.

Fallen Leaves cannot be captured and such cannot be part of any building kit for Blueprints though.

To buy a building kit, either select the according Blueprint or activate a cornerstone that has been placed into the game world (and has optionally been customized). Check the content of the block kit first by clicking on the description "Built with xxx Blocks" before you'll click on the green price tag button below "Get kit and build now".

Citrus Autumnwood Leaves can rarely be obtained from Autumn Leafies either as a random loot or pet-harvest. No other type of tree Leaves is known to be dropped by any Creatures.

How to remove[]

Destroying Leaves is easy by using the AOE Gauntlet Smash attack of your ArcTek Gauntlet when you have at least 75% of your maximum Stamina - by hitting the Leaves from above (it's a ground smash that will only affect 1 block upwards at most).

This will erase Leaves (even Corrupted Leaves of any kind) up to 2 blocks to the sides and downwards from the point of impact from existence without leaving anything behind.

Nearly all types of tree Leaves can be destroyed this way without needing to have a Power Cell equipped: Ashenwood Leaves, Autumnwood Leaves (Cinnamon Autumnwood Leaves, Citrus Autumnwood Leaves and Mocha Autumnwood Leaves), Fallen Leaves (also Mocha Autumnwood Leaves), Cragwood Leaves, Elderwood Leaves, Shorewood Leaves, Weepwood Leaves, Wildwood Leaves and Dark Wildwood Leaves. As said, also all types of Corrupted Leaves can be destroyed without even equipping any Power Cell.

However: equipping a Stone Mining Cell is necessary to be equipped in order to remove Parchwood Leaves with a Gauntlet Smash.

Snowy Elderwood Leaves are special in that they will transform into common dark green Elderwood Leaves when hit with a Gauntlet Smash, and then only a second Power Attack can actually destroy these Leaves.

You can alternatively destroy uncorrupted tree Leaves by using Basic TNT on them. For Corrupted Leaves, Super TNT has to be used, since Basic TNT, Advanced TNT and Strong TNT will not even scratch Corrupted Blocks.

You can also throw Fire Bombs at Leaves to eradicate them completely. This can burn 7x7x7 blocks of Leaves (even Corrupted Leaves) at maximum (usually only 7x7x4 blocks though) to nothingness, but will also remove Wood blocks that the tree trunks are made of, as well as tree Flowers, Moss(-streaked Wood blocks) and Queen Bees. Beeswax, Vines-covered Wood blocks and hanging Vines are fireproof.

Fire warning[]

When placing torches or any other items with open flames or fiery blocks like Hardened Lava directly under blocks of Leaves or uncorrupted Wood (of tree stems or branches), these natural blocks can easily catch fire and burn to nothingness in hot environments that make a heat meter show up, like Oceans, Jungles or the Lava layer, but also in much cooler Swamplands.

Placing several torches or heat sources with open flames next to each other can even raise the chances to set flammable materials like Leaves on fire. Liquid Lava, Fire Bombs or Flaming Skulls will immediately set Leaves blocks on fire.

If Leaves blocks and/or Wood blocks start burning, the flames are then able to spread to other nearby flammable blocks, even across gaps of 1-2 blocks on game worlds and player claims where the "fire spreading" option is enabled. This way a whole wooden building or forest (especially Wildwood, Parchwood and Shorewood) can burn down in the worst case.

Fire cannot be extinguished by using liquids, but it can be stopped from spreading by claiming the area and making sure that the claim (advanced) option "fire sim/spreading enabled" is disabled (by default). Fire Bombs (and Flaming Skulls) will have no effect on these claims either.

It is also possible for owners of the game world (F2P players included) to toggle the spreading of fire on a whole game world in the basic world options ("edit world" and "disable fire spread"), which will also render Fire Bombs and Flaming Skulls useless there. Another option to stop fire from spreading would be to create forest aisles/swaths wide enough so that the flames cannot leap over.

Only Moss-covered Wood blocks, Vines and Beeswax will not burn and such remain intact, while tree Flowers and Queen Bees will burn away together with Wood blocks and Leaves.

How to use[]

Uncorrupted blocks of Leaves can be placed as solid blocks for decoration and can also be used for building; however they can make Creatures spawn on them.

Yellow Flowers can grow in time on Cragwood Leaves, Red Flowers on Ashenwood Leaves, Blue Flowers on Elderwood Leaves (also on Snowy Elderwood Leaves) and Wildwood Flowers can grow on Wildwood Leaves as well as on Dark Wildwood Leaves. Weepwood Flowers will not grow on Weepwood Leaves, neither will Autumnwood Flowers grow on any type of Autumnwood Leaves), and Corrupted Leaves also can't make any Flowers spawn. Shorewood trees and Parchwood trees don't have any Flowers.

You can plant Queen Bees on uncorrupted Leaves except for Dark Wildwood Leaves, Shorewood Leaves and Snowy Elderwood Leaves. Queen Bees will transform into up to 6 blocks of Beeswax within ca. 3,5 hours real-life time when placed into suitable biomes (not too hot, not too cold, not on too high altitudes). The waiting time can be shortened for ca. 10-15 minutes if you fertilize the Queen Bees with Pigsy Droppings.

Queen Bees can spawn on all uncorrupted tree Leaves (very rarely on Dark Wildwood Leaves, Shorewood Leaves and Snowy Elderwood Leaves where they also can't be placed by players), but can only transform into Beeswax in suitable biomes (not too hot, not too cold, not too high up) within 3,5 RL hours.

Vines and Moss do not spawn on trees over time, but can be part of player-grown Cragwood trees respectively Ashenwood trees.

Ordinary Wood Treasure Chests will occasionally spawn in complete darkness during night-times on all types of tree leaves - except for Corrupted Leaves, on where Diamond Treasure Chests (and Corrupted Creatures) can occasionally spawn during day and night as long as the area is in complete darkness.

During daytime, ordinary green Leafies might spawn on most types of leaves (only if no artificial light sources are nearby though). Under fitting conditions, Mossy Leafies can spawn on Weepwood Leaves, blue-green Chizzards can spawn on Wildwood Leaves as well as on Dark Wildwood Leaves, and Autumn Leafies can spawn on Autumnwood Leaves - all of them will spawn during the day if no artificial lights are illuminating the area.

After nightfall, Night Leafies might spawn on nearly all types of Leaves, while Night Chizzards can mainly spawn on Wildwood Leaves and Dark Wildwood Leaves at night - again only if no artifcial light sources are nearby. On Corrupted Leaves, all types of Corrupted Creatures including Corrupted Leafies can spawn in complete darkness at day and night.

You can fully rotate Leaves blocks into all directions by pointing your cursor at them, then pressing and holding R (as the default key) and then moving the mouse while holding down the left mouse button. The chosen rotation angle can be "locked" too by simply typing "r" while looking at an already rotated block or item, so that all blocks of the same stack in the chosen quickslot will then face the same direction when being placed.

Fuel[]

Uncorrupted tree Leaves can be used as slowly burning level 1 Fuel for the Forge. 4 blocks of Leaves each are necessary for each forging process, except for Snowy Elderwood Leaves that only require 2 blocks each.

Corrupted Leaves make better Fuel that burns even faster than common Leaves, but you'll need at least a Diamond Mining Cell (or Lumite Mining Cell) to collect Corrupted Leaves (of all kinds), and both of these Power Cells will lose durability in the process of harvesting Corrupted Leaves.

Just like with all kinds of Leaves, also 4 blocks of Corrupted Leaves at a time will be used up in the Forge for each melting/hardening process, however they make every forging process a lot faster, since they are level 3 Fuel.

Ashenwood Leaves can be corrupted into Corrupted Ashenwood Leaves and Elderwood Leaves as well as Snowy Elderwood Leaves can be corrupted into Corrupted Elderwood Leaves.

Uncorrupted Leaves can be corrupted by throwing Corrupt Bombs at them. One Corrupt Bomb can corrupt up to 5x5x5 Leaves blocks, but usually only 5x5x3 Leaves. Only Snowy Elderwood Leaves can alternatively be corrupted by placing Corrupted Water and/or Corrupt Obelisks adjacently to these Leaves blocks.

When corrupting Cragwood Leaves and Dark Wildwood Leaves, they will turn into ordinary Corrupted Leaves right away. Purifying common Corrupted Leaves will transform them into Cragwood Leaves, no matter what type of leaves they had been before.

When picking up Corrupted Weepwood Leaves, Corrupted Shorewood Leaves, Corrupted Parchwood Leaves, Corrupted Wildwood Leaves and/or Corrupted Autumnwood Leaves, they will all turn into ordinary Corrupted Leaves. These Leaves are common, but will not stack with Corrupted Ashenwood Leaves or Corrupted Elderwood Leaves.

Corrupted Leaves of any kind cannot be processed into Shredded Leaves.

If you create structures from Corrupted Leaves (of any kind), Corrupted Creatures will spawn on them in dark areas during day and night, and also Diamond Treasure Chests per chance.

Corrupted Weepwood Leaves, Corrupted Shorewood Leaves, Corrupted Parchwood Leaves, and Corrupted Wildwood Leaves can only be turned into their uncorrupted specific Leaves counterparts if you have just corrupted these Leaves and have not picked them up. Then you can purify them with Purification Bombs or Healing Beacons.

One Healing Beacon can purify Corrupted Blocks and/or Corrupted Water in the range of two blocks to each side, but also downwards and upwards plus the one block that the Healing Beacon is placed on, and one block diagonally to all sides. Purification Bombs can purify up to 7x7x7 Corrupted Blocks at maximum, usually only 7x7x4 though.

Corrupted Autumnwood Leaves of any kind will always be purified into reddish Cinnamon Autumnwood Leaves though, no matter if they were Mocha Autumnwood Leaves or Citrus Autumnwood Leaves before being corrupted.

If you collect Corrupted Autumnwood Leaves, Corrupted Weepwood Leaves, Corrupted Shorewood Leaves, Corrupted Parchwood Leaves and/or Corrupted Wildwood Leaves, they will all turn into common Corrupted Leaves in your quickbar and/or inventory/bag. You can still place them and purify them, but they will turn into Cragwood Leaves then (also Dark Wildwood Leaves that have been corrupted - these will even turn into common Corrupted Leaves right away, not after having picked up).

Processing[]

One block of uncorrupted tree Leaves can be cut into 4 blocks of Shredded Leaves in a Processor each. No crafting recipe is required for this. Simply carry blocks of Leaves with you in your inventory and activate a Processor in the game world with right-click or "f" (as the default key) while pointing your cursor at the Processor.

Obtaining Shredded Leaves will partly unlock the crafting recipes for three types of colored carpets (Blue Carpets, Red Carpets, Yellow Carpets) and Thatched Wall blocks.

Shredded Leaves can be used as building blocks, but be careful: Shredded Leaves are just as flammable as fresh leaves when being placed. You can process Shredded Leaves blocks into Shredded Leaves Columns by putting them into a Processor (no crafting recipe is required). Shredded Leaves can also be used for crafting, mainly for Thatched Walls, Thatched Roofs, many types of Beds and several types of Carpets.

Corrupted Leaves cannot be processed into Shredded Leaves.

Crafting[]

All kinds of uncorrupted tree Leaves can be used to craft

Features of trees in Creativerse[]

Several sorts of trees and bushes can be discovered in many biomes:

Player-grown trees (renewable Leaves)[]

Three types of trees can be grown from Saplings in fitting biomes:

Player-grown Ashenwood trees can feature Red Flowers embedded in their leaves and some Moss amongst their Wood blocks. More Red Flowers can spawn in time on Ashenwood Leaves.

Player-grown Cragwood trees can feature Yellow Flowers embedded in their leaves and some Vines(-streaked Wood) amongst their Wood blocks. You can grow larger Cragwood trees by placing several Cragwood Saplings together. More Yellow Flowers can spawn in time on Cragwood Leaves.

Player-grown Elderwood trees can feature Blue Flowers embedded in their leaves. You can grow larger Cragwood trees by placing several Cragwood Saplings together. Rimecones are not part of any player-grown Elderwood tree, but can be produced by using a Plow on dark-green Elderwood Leaves. Elderwood-Leaves can transform into Snowy Elderwood Leaves in cold biomes and/or on high altitudes. More Blue Flowers can spawn in time on Elderwood Leaves and Snowy Elderwood Leaves.

Queen Bees and Beeswax (that can grow from Queen Bee]]s can also sometimes be part of player-grown trees, and can also spawn in time on them.

Corruptable Leaves[]

Three types of leaves can be "created" by throwing Corrupt Bombs at them:

Quests[]

Fall For You[]

  • Badge: Rancher
  • unlocked by completing another quest
  • Objectives:
    • Tame an Autumn Leafi by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an Autumn Leafi (that spawns in Forests next to autumnally colored Autumnwood trees during the day) for 5 seconds. This Leafi variant will defend itself as soon as you attempt to tame it, but not overly fiercely.
Tips for taming: you might either want to use Stun Bombs in order to prevent the taming process from being interrupted by being hit, or you could build a trap. Simply build a small closed-up vertical box with a destination teleporter on top of the hollow inside that does not even have to be larger than a shaft of only 1 block in width.
The bottom of teleporters is not solid for Creatures, it will let Creatures fall downwards through it as soon as they are teleported in. So if you lure a Creature into a departure teleporter (not too far from the trap) with the same upper code as the destination teleporter's lower code, they will fall into the trap.
Best use fences, rotated slabs or any type of blocks that have small holes in them as the bottom of the trap. You can then stand below the trap and safely tame the Creature through the fences or holes of the bottom of the trap. Creatures can hit you through small holes if you stand on the other side, but not if you stand right below them.
  • Rewards: 20 Citrus Autumnwood Leaves, 20 Autumnwood Flowers and 1 Pet Washer
  • Unlocks: quest "Who's the Boss?"
