Basic Information[]
Gunpowder is a crafting ingredient for nearly all types of Explosives that you can currently craft, except for Flares, but including Fireworks and Excavators.
How to obtain[]
You can obtain Gunpowder by:
- finding it occasionally in Wood Treasure Chests that randomly spawn at night on the surface in dark areas, and also in every other kind of Treasure Chest that randomly spawn underground during night and day in complete darkness
- obtaining it - either as a loot or pet-harvest - from Hot Feet that can be found on the Lava layer underground and will spawn on Hardened Lava or Igneous Rock in the dark
- putting Coal into a Processor and processing it to become Gunpowder. Since update 1 piece of Coal will be processed into 1 unit of Gunpowder. (Pet Hot Feet now sometimes also provide Coal additionally to Gunpowder as a pet-harvest only)
- or getting it as a loot or pet-harvest from Keepas of any kind, most often common blue Keepas
Obtaining Gunpowder is one of the unlocking requirements for the crafting recipe for Explosive Bombs.
How to use[]
Gunpowder can only be used for crafting. It cannot be placed into any quickslot, into the game world into the slots of display container like on a Placemat, Stone Wall Shelf or the like. It cannot be turned into Coal nor can it be forged.
