Basic Information[]
The Galactic Captain's Chair is a usable piece of furniture that can be activated to make your player character sit down.
This comfortable grey metal/plastic chair has a slightly futuristic look, especially with the buttons on its armrests and the oxygen bottle (or rocket)-like extensions on the backside.
How to obtain[]
The Galactic Captain's Chair is part of the Galactic Super Bundle that was implemented with update R46 in September 2017, and the chair can only be crafted (default crafting key is Q) in the Crafting Menu after buying this Super Bundle in the Store for Coins.
These chairscannot be found in Treasure Chests nor can they be obtained from any Creatures.
How to unlock the crafting recipe[]
Buying the Galactic Super Bundle in the Store for Coins is the only way to permanently add the (already unlocked) crafting recipe for this chair to the Crafting Menu, where it will keep being available even on game worlds where the world option "world bound recipes" is enabled.
Already crafted Galactic Captain's Chairs can also be bought in the Store as being parts of Item Packs and parts of building kits for space-themed Blueprints, but these purchases will not include the crafting recipes for these chairs.
How to craft Galactic Captain's Chairs[]
To craft one Galactic Captain's Chair in your crafting menu, you will need:
- 1 unit of Tar, found in pools in larger Caves on the Fossil layer and Stalactite layer underground, and requires at least an Iron Mining Cell equipped to be scooped
- 1 block of Magnetite that can be mined from the Fossil layer (accessible through shallow Caves) or at recesses near rivers with at least a Stone Mining Cell equipped; or can be obtained from Warmworms, Night Rocksters and Rockzilla as a loot or pet-harvest
- 1 piece of Leather that can be obtained from Pigsies, Night Pigsies, Night Hoglets and sometimes from Leafies or Night Leafies either as a loot or pet-harvest
How to use Galactic Captain's Chairs []
To make your player-character sit down, place the chair into the game world, then activate the chair by right-clicking or typing "f" (as the default key) while looking at it. Tables placed in front of the chair won't block this process, instead your player-character will sit down at the table.
You can fully rotate Galactic Captain's Chairs in every direction (so you can use it for decorative purposes), however graphic glitches or displacements can happen when player characters sit down on or stand up from a chair that is placed sideways or upside down.
Since update R32 you won't need to equip any Power Cells to pick up any kind of crafted objects or blocks that have been placed into the world. Of course you won't be able to take these on claims of other players (or in game-worlds) where your permission rank is set low.
