Dustevils are aggressive and dangerous Creatures that spawn in the Canyons and Dunes during the day and have a long reach when attacking, often hurling player characters high up into the sky.

Health: 500 health points
Time to tame: Becomes your friend in 5 seconds (Rancher: 1 sec.)
Attack(s): Wind Ram: Dustevil utilizes the power of the wind and spins some bones and rocks around it. It will then proceed to do a short charge towards the target. Knockback may occur.

Ramming Skull Bash: Dustevil will charge up. After a very short time, Dustevil will pull back its skull and then bash the target airborne. Sends player flying up high

Location: Canyons and Dunes during the day
Other note(s): As these creatures live in Canyons, players should be especially aware of the indirect damage the Dustevil can inflict. A single Dustevil attack can't take away all of your health at once, but a long fall can.

- The skull of this creature doesn't seem to have a hitbox. So to hit a Dustevil, players should aim their strikes at the center rock bone (the big circular thing under the skull) or the ground

Dustevils can spawn on any Canyon-related kind of block, mainly on/around Cacti and Sandstone, but also on caramel-colored Canyonstone, maroon Dark Canyonstone and red Ruddy Canyonstone.

Dustevils have decently strong attacks and a fair amount of health. At first sight, they appear to be a harmless heap of bones lying on the ground. But if a player comes too close to them, they will rise up and begin pursuing the player, attacking them with blasts of wind.

These attacks often have a knockback effect, which can be especially dangerous if struck while already jumping - it can fling the player high into the air, which is followed by dealing fall damage upon landing, except if a Glider is used in time or the landing place consists of liquids or Goo blocks. Using the AOE Gauntlet Smash before landing will also negate falling damage.

According to Playful, Dustevils have 500 health points and based on tests, they require 46 hits with a Twig, 25 hits with a Wood Sword, 20 hits with a Stone Sword, 10 hits with an Obsidian Sword, 6 hits with an Iron Sword, 5 hits with a Diamond Sword or 4 hits with a Lumite Sword to be killed.

Please note that all Creatures in Creativerse can have individual vulnerabilities against specific tiers of melee Weapons

It seems almost certain that Dustevils do not have any armor points.

Possible drops when killed:

The same materials and rare Recipes can be harvested from Dustevils when you have tamed them and they are your Pets. They will only provide players with the best possible pet harvest and up to 3 times more materials than they would drop in their Loot Bags when killed after they have been fed their favorite Food as can be seen in their Pet Window.
