Basic Information[]
Elfi's Wonderland was the name of the Christmas event 2018 in Creativerse that started with update R58 on December 19th 2018 and lasted until January 25th 2019.
The Christmas events 2017 and 2019 were called Elfi's Toy Drive.
The Holiday event Elfi's Wonderland 2018 consisted of several parts:
Make A Wish 2018[]
The Creativerse Christmas Holiday event Elfi's Wonderland 2018 was dedicated to charity.
Playful was donating a portion of revenue (and 100% of all Make-a-Wish Donation Bundles sales) from the event to The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The more Donation Bundles were bought ingame and/or the more money was donated directly to Playful's Make-A-Wish Donation Campaign page, the more children who have been diagnosed with critical illnesses could be granted their wishes by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Donations for Make-a-Wish 2018[]
In order to donate money for this cause, players could either purchase one of the Make-a-Wish Donation Bundles (bronze, silver, gold or platinum) in the Store of Creativerse direcly for money via Steam Wallet (not to be paid with ingame Coins), or donate directly via this fundraising webpage: https://t.co/aJJtpmFjgz.
If players bought a Donation Bundle in the Store, the players received a bunch of crafted Christmas-themed blocks and items as a thank-you, as well as rare seasonal Recipes for these blocks and items, with some to a lot of Rescued Toys on top of that.
If players didn't want to use Steam wallet or prefered different payment options (Credit Card & PayPal), they could donate per e-mail to Make-A-Wish North Texas via https://t.co/aJJtpmFjgz.
Paying directly to the webpage would not gain players any Creativerse items and recipes. Instead, players could make it into the honor roll list by that. Not only buyers, but all Creativerse players were allowed to claim all the unlocked Make-A-Wish bundles (all 3 tiers were unlocked as of January 2nd 2019) for free in the Store.
The goal of this fund raising was 10,000 US$, segmented in 3 tiers or "milestones". Whenever one more tier/milestone of the goal was reached, the according gift bundle became claimable for free in the Store of Creativerse by all players, no matter if "Pro" or F2P.
The donation page https://t.co/aJJtpmFjgz lists donations in real time that were directly sent there, while the actual state of the fund raising that includes the sales of ingame donation bundles was only infrequently published on the donation site, also on the main game screen, on twitter and on the official Steam Creativerse forums.
Make-a-Wish Donation Bundles 2018[]
4 Donation bundles were available in the Store in the "Coins" TAB until the end of the event on January 25th 2019. They could be bought via Steam wallet like Coins bundles. Prices differed depending on where players lived. According to Playful, 100% of proceeds went to Make-A-Wish to help children who were diagnosed with critical illnesses:

- 1 seasonal rare Recipe for Green Giftwrap Blocks & 999 crafted Green Giftwrap Blocks
- 1 seasonal rare Recipe for Candycane Giftwrap Blocks & 999 crafted Candycane Giftwrap Blocks
- and 500 Rescued Toys
When players purchased any of these Donation DLCs, the rare Recipe pages, Rescued Toys and crafted Giftwrap Blocks of each of the 4 types were placed into their inventory/bag directly, not packed into just 1 storage container.
Recipe pages have to be learnt by right-clicking on the icons of the Recipe pages or dragging and dropping them to the player character's 3D model on the right side of the inventory. This will permanently add the recipes to the players' Crafting Menu, thus they will become available on all game worlds, even on those with the world option "world bound recipes" ("fresh start") activated.
If players donated more than one bundle (for example for a friend), they could store the surplus Recipes pages on any game world and can later on give them to other players on that game world. Items like Recipe pages cannot be transfered to other game worlds though; only the "knowledge" of these recipes can be kept after they've been learnt and added to the crafting menu.
Make-A-Wish Community Reward Bundles unlocked by donations in 2018[]
All players could claim any of these community reward bundles for free in the Store after they had been unlocked by a certain number of donations to Make-A-Wish ; but only until January 25th 2019. It is likely that these items can be obtained again in December 2019 in a different way.
Players did not have to donate in order to claim the bundles, but every donation helped the children that will be supported by the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Donations that were made by buying ingame Donation Bundles as well as donations that went directly to Playful's Make-A-Wish Donation Campaign page https://t.co/aJJtpmFjgz will both counted for this purpose.

If you had claimed the bundle before January 25th 2019, you can claim the crafted items of these bundles in your inventory on any game world of your choice anytime afterwards. You should make some room for these stacks before claiming them. Items cannot be transfered to other game worlds, so choose wisely on which game world you want to claim the item bundles.
After claiming the bundles and even before claiming the item bundles on any game world, the Costumes can be found in their according Costume slots of your character when clicking on the button "Costume" over your player character's model on the right side of the inventory or by clicking the button "Customize character" on the main game screen before selecting any game world or adventure. Costumes are account-bound cosmetic skins and aren't items that could be given to anyone else.
Different colored Winter Mittens 2018[]
The Winter Mitten is a Gauntlet Costume that was distributed to all players in its standard red-and-white colors when claiming the Make-A-Wish Tier 1 Bundle for free until January 25th 2019.
As usual, Costumes are not added to your inventory in the shape of items or bundles, but will automatically added to your Costumes selection that you can find when opening the Costumes window and clicking on the according Costume slot (the Gauntlet Costume slot in case of the Winter Mitten), which will bring up a small window with all the Costumes for this body part that you own and then can choose from.
Players could get one of the special colors (the yellow/"golden" one) for free additionally to that until January 25th 2019 by watching Playful's livestream from January 10th 2019 and then using the Christmas Holiday-related redemption code that Playful mentions in this livestream, for example here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBAUgnF0DNw.
In order to use such a redemption code for free items (in this case a free Costume), you'll have click on the button "redeem" on top of the ingame Store window, then enter the code from the livestream.
Players could obtain one yellow-and-white striped Winter Mitten with this code as well as 10 Small Trog Traps, 8 Medium Trog Traps, 6 Large Trog Traps and 15 New Years Fireworks. As a reminder: this bundle that was called "Elfi's Last Gift" could only be claimed for free until January 25th 2019 and has expired after that. Redemption codes are always only temporarily valid and will expire sooner or later!
Codes for other colors could be obtained by watching Creativerse-related Streams from the following streamers:

It is very likely that the colorful Winter Mittens will be distributed again in December 2019.
Holiday Event Content 2018[]
Troggington the Abominable Frost Trog once again stole all the toys from the Elfis. From December 19th 2018 to January 25th 2019, players were asked to help the Elfis with reclaiming their toys. This will most likely be the case once again starting in December 2019.
In order to retrieve the Rescued Toys for the Elfis, you could still can use Trog Traps that will initiate events and enable you to collect Rescued Toys from the reward chests. During the Christmas Holiday event, players could also hunt Reinbeaus as well as the very rare and fast Reaudolphs that spawned in many surface biomes during Christmas event-times. And players could additionally search for randomly spawning Holiday Gift boxes that spawned on Ice and Snow, so mainly in cold biomes.
These colorful gift boxes as well as the Loot Bags of Reinbeaus and Reaudolphs could contain either one Small Trog Trap or a bunch of Rescued Toys - usually 10-14, except for 100-200 at a time as an uncommon occurrence in Reaudolph's Loot Bags. The gifts and loot bags will always either contain one Small Trog Trap or a stack of Rescued Toys, but never both at the same time.
However, Reinbeaus often just provided players with one small stack of random Holiday items as well instead of Toys or Traps, like either 10 blocks of Gingerbread Walls, 2 Gingerbread Loaves, 1 empty Red Gift Box or 3 Blue Holiday Lights for example.
2 Small Trog Traps at a time could be collected from the daily Trog Trap Login Chests only while the seasonal Christmas event was ongoing, until its end on January 25th 2019.
As soon as you place a Small Trog Trap anywhere, a tier 1 Trog Trap Event will immediately initiated in its proximity. If you are able to successfully meet the objective of the event in time as displayed onscreen, you will be rewarded by a Reward Holiday Gift Box that contains ca. 6-12 Rescued Toys, 2-3 random stacks of useful items and often (but not always) a Medium Trog Trap. Every player who participates in Trog Trap Events will receive their own reward gift box.
Medium Trog Traps can be placed in order to instantly start tier 2 Trog Trap Events that are a bit more difficult to "beat". In the Reward Holiday Gift Boxes that will appear after the successful completion of tier 2 Trog Trap Events, you will find ca. 11-14 Rescued Toys, 3-6 stacks of useful items and occasionally a Large Trog Trap. Moreover, a few of the Trog Trap Event Creatures might drop special Loot Bags with Rescued Toys and some more useful items inside.
Naturally, Large Trog Traps will also promply initiate Trog Trap Events of an even higher difficulty, and their Reward Holiday Gift Boxes will contain even more (ca. 34) Rescued Toys and even more (5-8) stacks of useful items, but only rarely a Medium Trog Trap on top of that.
Trog Traps of all 3 tiers (Small Trog Traps, Medium Trog Traps and Large Trog Traps) can also be bought via block kits for customizable Blueprints that players have uploaded to the Creativerse Steam workshop. Players can also obtain Trog Traps from other players who have stored surplus one (only on the game world where they have been stored) or might even carry around unclaimed login chests in their inventory so that they can claim them on any game world of their choice.
Until January 25th 2019, players could find Elfis in cold biomes, spawning on top of a stack of gifts on blocks of Ice and Snow during day and night. Elfis are NPCs that will trade Christmas-themed items and rare Recipes for your Rescued Toys and will only spawn in a certain proximity around players. If you wanted to find an Elfi, you just had to travel over snow-covered landscapes for a while in order to make one spawn during event-times.
Elfi's rare seasonal Recipes came in the shape of Recipe Books and Recipe Pages in 2018 that would not automatically be added to players' Crafting Menu, but instead had to be learnt by right-clicking on them in the inventory/bag or dragging and dropping them with the left mouse button over the player character 3D model on the right side of the inventory.
The according Recipe book/page will be consumed by learning it and the crafting recipe will be permanently added to your Crafting Menu (to be opened by pressing "q" as the default key). It will then always be available even on game worlds with the "Pro" world option "world bound recipes" ("fresh start") activated.
You only need to learn a rare seasonal Recipe once and in fact you cannot learn it again (like all other rare Recipes that you can obtain from randomly spawning Treasure Chests for example), but players could purchase more Recipe books and pages from the Elfis so that they could give them to other players later on - on the game world where these Recipe books/pages were stored, since items are not transferable to other game worlds.
During the event Elfi's Wonderland 2018, Elfi's offered the following items and seasonal Recipes to players:

Trog Trap Events[]
How to obtain Trog Traps[]
In order to retrieve the stolen toys from Troggington and his helpers, the Elfis provided all creators with Small Trog Traps in every daily Login Chest/Bundle during the seasonal Christmas event until January 25th 2019. Trog Trap Login Chests will very likely return in December 2019.
A new login chest becomes available ca. every 4 hours, but only up to a maximum of 2 chests. So only if you collect at least one of the 2 chests that are waiting for you, a new one will be unlocked in 4 hours, and if both chests have been claimed, the first one will be unlocked in 4 hours, and the second one will then be unlocked in 8 hours. This applies to all daily login chests, with or without any additional seasonal goodies in them.
The redemption Code WISH provided players with several free Trog Traps too for a limited time-span. In order to use redemption codes, open your Store window (the Store button appears in the left top corner of your screen whenever you open a game window like the inventory/bag or crafting menu), click on the green button named "Redeem" on top of your screen. Enter the code word into this field, then click on the button "redeem".
Additionally, you could find Small Trog Traps in many of the randomly spawning Holiday Gifts that appeared on natural blocks of Ice and Snow in cold biomes during day and night while the Christmas event was still ongoing, together with Molasses, rare Holiday Pet Hats and winter-themed items like storage boxes and Gingerbread building blocks etc. in these festive gift boxes.
Moreover, in many biomes, Reinbeaus and the very rare red-nosed Reaudolphs also randomly appeared and dropped Small Trog Traps when they were killed, but not always. At rarer occasions their loot bags would contain 10-15 Rescued Toys, and most often the loot bags would contain a small stack of winter-themed items.
Trog Traps initiate timed events[]
When Small Trog Traps are placed (preferably into an arena or at least a large flat area), they will immediately initiate a Trog Trap Event. The objective of each event will be displayed on the screen. If the announced goal is successfully reached within the set timespan, a Reward Holiday Gift Box will appear afterwards at or next to the spot that the Small Trog Trap had originally been placed.
The Reward Holiday Gift Boxes for Small Trog Trap (Tier 1) events will randomly contain a few Rescued Toys, useful consumables like Food and/or Potions, uncommon materials, Excavators and/or Extractors of different kinds plus nearly always also 1 Medium Trog Trap.
These Medium Trog Traps can be placed again to immediately start Tier 2 Trog Trap events. Tier 2 events are very similar to Small Trog Trap events, just slightly more difficult.
After the successful completion of these events, the Reward Holiday Gift Boxes for Medium Trog Trap events contain even more Rescued Toys and the same random useful stuff like the tier 1 Reward Holiday Gift Boxes, just in higher numbers, as well as (randomly) often 1 Large Trog Trap.
Additionally, some of the Creatures appearing during these Trog Trap Events (mainly "Troggington's Minions") might sometimes drop Holiday Loot Bags with random winter-themed special content like Snowcubes, Rescued Toys and an assortment of useful items and/or consumables; but usually no Trog Traps.
Large Trog Traps (Tier 3) can once more be placed to immediately start the most difficult winter-themed events. The Reward Holiday Gift Boxes for these high(est) tier Trog Trap events contain even more Rescued Toys and the assortment of useful items in larger amounts, plus sometimes (not always!) Medium Trog Traps too.
Again, some of the Creatures appearing during these tier 3 event (mainly Minions and Troggington himself) will sometimes drop Holiday Loot Bags with random winter-themed special content like Snowcubes, Rescued Toys and an assortment of useful items and/or consumables.
As said, you can only trade the Rescued Toys at any of the Elfis that will only spawn during the seasonal Christmas event in cold biomes for winter-themed items and rare seasonal Recipes. The event Elfi's Wonderland ended on January 25th 2019 and will most likely return in December 2019.
Changes to Event Creatures and 2 new Rambeau variations 2018[]
Some Trog Trap Event Creatures can now be tamed: both Blizzard Ice Spies and Leafi Ice Spies, as well as Target Arctic Mirus.
Chizzard Minions, Rambeau Minions and Coolworm Minions cannot be tamed yet. Of course, NPCs like Elfis as well as objects like Toy Drive Target, Capture Poles, Pine Trees and the like cannot be tamed either.
At first, tamed Trog Trap Event Creatures were able to consume Rescued Toys, but these pets can not digest toys any longer. Instead, their favorite Food now resembles the type of Food that their most common brethren (Leafies, Arctic Mirus, Blizzard Chizzards) prefer to eat.
The pet-harvest of Trog Trap Event Creatures is not the same as their loot drops when they are killed during Trog Trap Events, but instead they will provide you with the same items as their most common brethren. On the other hand, Pets will provide you with 3 times more animal materials and items in general than loot bags would.
Unlike last year, Trog Trap Event Creatures cannot be spawned on Mob Spawners.
Trog Trap Event Creatures would be: Ice Spies, Target Arctic Mirus, Troggington's Minions (Chizzard Minions, Miru Minions, Rambeau Minions and Coolworm Minions), and Troggington III The Abominable Frost Trog himself. In a way maybe also Toy Drive Targets and Pine Trees, since they have to be eliminated too.
Elfis are NPCs though (similar to the Pumpkirus), so they will most likely never become tameable.
Reinbeaus and Reaudolphs[]
As mentioned above, the fluffy beige-brown Reinbeaus with their large antlers and the very rare and fast red-nosed Reaudolphs (their noses even glow and illuminate the ground in front of them) are new Creatures that were implemented for the Christmas event on December 19th 2018 and spawned in many biomes on natural blocks in unlit areas.
These brand new Creatures could not be tamed during Elfi's Wonderland 2018 - just like the event Creatures from 2017 also weren't tameable for a whole year. They could be killed though.
During the Christmas event until January 25th 2019, Reinbeaus would randomly drop ca. 10-14 Rescued Toys when killed, or 1 Small Trog Trap, or ca. 2 units of Molasses, or ca. 2 Gingerbread Loaves, or ca. 10 Christmas-themed cubic building blocks (Gingerbread Wall, Candy Cane Wall, Tiled Gingerbread Wall, Brick Gingerbread Wall, Gingerbread Roof) or a small number (usually 2-3) of other Holiday items like 3 Holiday Lights or 2 Gingerbread Chimneys, 2 Candy Cane Gates or 1 colored storage Gift Box for example, or rarely even one Holiday Pet Hat.
The loot of Reaudolphs usually resembled the content of randomly spawning Holiday Gifts with 3-4 stacks of Christmas-themed items, often including 1 Small Trog Trap and 2-4 Gingerbread Loaves, but they woiuld sometimes provide players with 100-200 Rescued Toys at a time as their speciality.
Reaudolphs are really fast compared to all other Creatures, so you will actually have to sprint in order to hit them; but luckily they will take breaks whenever they manage to create a significant distance to your player character. Since they tend to stay put rather long, you can run up to them and hit them once or twice rather easily before they start to run again.
Both Reinbeaus and Reaudolphs require 63 hits with a Twig, 45 hits with a Wood Sword, 45 hits with a Stone Sword, 23 hits with an Obsidian Sword, 10 hits with an Iron Sword, 8 hits with a Diamond Sword or 5 hits with a Lumite Sword to be killed.
Please note that all Creatures in Creativerse can have individual resistances and vulnerabilities against specific tiers of melee Weapons, and some also have armor points. Like Rambeaus, their "brethren" Reinbeaus and Reaudolphs are immune against cold damage, but they are also immune to Corruption damage. They do not take much damage from most Explosives in general, even though they can be poisoned and burnt, on the other hand they can drown pretty quickly like most other Creatures.
Playful has already made clear that Reaudolphs will not spawn any longer after the Christmas event will be over. Because of their popularity with the player community, Reinbeaus were said to become a permanent mob asset to all Creativerse worlds though, with different loot than during the Christmas event. Both of these seasonal Rambeau variants cannot be spawned on Mob Spawners (yet).
Rancher Quest chain[]
QB has a new quest chain to offer in the Codex (to be opened by pressing "x" as the default key). Click on the first quest "Fall for you" in order to start the quest chain. Basically, this quest line will ask of you to tame all kinds of Creatures.
Completing all of the quests of this quest chain will unlock the new Rancher Badge that will greatly increase your taming speed (1 second instead of 5 seconds, 1,5 seconds instead of 7,5 seconds, 2 seconds instead of 10 seconds, 3 seconds instead of 15 seconds, 5 seconds instead of 25 seconds, 6 seconds instead of 30 seconds). Quests can only be done once per account.
Quest "Fall For You"[]
- Badge: Rancher
- unlocked by completing another quest
- Objectives:
- Tame an Autumn Leafi by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an Autumn Leafi (that spawns in Forests next to autumnally colored Autumnwood trees during the day) for 5 seconds. This Leafi variant will defend itself as soon as you attempt to tame it, but not overly fiercely.
Tips for taming: you might either want to use Stun Bombs in order to prevent the taming process from being interrupted by being hit, or you could build a trap. Simply build a small closed-up vertical box with a destination teleporter on top of the hollow inside that does not even have to be larger than a shaft of only 1 block in width.
The bottom of teleporters is not solid for Creatures, it will let Creatures fall downwards through it as soon as they are teleported in. So if you lure a Creature into a departure teleporter (not too far from the trap) with the same upper code as the destination teleporter's lower code, they will fall into the trap.
Best use fences, rotated slabs or any type of blocks that have small holes in them as the bottom of the trap. You can then stand below the trap and safely tame the Creature through the fences or holes of the bottom of the trap. Creatures can hit you through small holes if you stand on the other side, but not if you stand right below them.
- Rewards: 20 Citrus Autumnwood Leaves, 20 Autumnwood Flowers and 1 Pet Washer
- Unlocks: quest "Who's the Boss?"
Quest "Who's the Boss?"[]
- Badge: Rancher
- Unlocked by: completing the quest "Fall for you"
- Objectives:
- Tame a BossHog by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at a reluctantly aggressive BossHog (that spawns in Savannah biomes during day and night) for 15 seconds.
The use of Stun Bombs or even better a trap (like described in the quest hints for "Fall for you") is highly recommended, since BossHogs can easily interrupt the taming process by pushing player characters high up and backwards. To prevent your character from being flung up, you can try standing in (shallow) water or any other liquid. - Wash a BossHog Pet with the Washer after harvesting.
After taming a BossHog, you will first have to feed it when it's hungry and displays the food icon in its thought bubble and Pet window (right-click while pointing your cursor at the Pet per default). It's always recommendable to feed your Pets their exact (!) favorite type of Food as shown in their Pet window. Only then they will provide you with their best harvest.
Pets will need a few minutes to digest the food, then the thought bubble and Pet window will display an ArcTek Gauntlet (or rather a Mining Cell). Now you can "pull" the Pets (left mouse button by default) like you would mine/pick up any block.
Afterwards, all Pets need a good cleaning before they can get hungry again. Some Pets like BossHogs even appear dirty very visibly. Equip a Washer, point it at the Pet and hold the left mouse button (by default) for 3 seconds until the bar has filled.
- Tame a BossHog by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at a reluctantly aggressive BossHog (that spawns in Savannah biomes during day and night) for 15 seconds.
- Rewards: 20 BossHog Tusks, 20 Pigsy Droppings and 20 Melon Sandwiches
- Unlocks: quest "Ring the Bell, DeVoe"
Quest "Ring the Bell, DeVoe"[]
- Badge: Rancher
- Unlocked by: completing the quest "Who's the Boss?"
- Objectives:
- Craft a Poison Resistance Potion (or rather 2 of them) in your Crafting Menu. The crafting recipe for this potion is unlocked by crafting or finding a Basic Health Potion, obtaining Feral Pigsy Fur from Feral Pigsies (in Jungles or Swamplands), collecting Wildwood Flowers from Wildwood Jungle trees and collecting Detritus from the ground of Jungle biomes. 2 Poison Resistance Potions can then be crafted with 2 Wildwood Flowers, 1 Feral Pigsy Fur and 8 (blocks of) Detritus
- Tame a Mossy Leafi by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at a defensive Mossy Leafi (that spawns in Swampland biomes and sometimes Jungles too during the day) for 5 seconds.
The use of Stun Bombs or even better a trap (like described in the quest hints for "Fall for you") is recommended, since Mossy Leafies are able to occasionally deal poison damage over time. - Tame a Feral Pigsy by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an aggressive Feral Pigsy (that spawns in Jungle biomes and Swamplands during the day) for 7,5 seconds.
The use of Stun Bombs or even better a trap (like described in the quest hints for "Fall for you") is highly recommended, since Feral Pigsies not only deal poison damage over time rather often, they also can push your player character upwards and backwards. Standing in Bog Water or any other liquid might prevent from being pushed.
- Rewards: 20 Feral Pigsy Furs, 20 Mossy Leafi Leaves and 20 Wildwood Flowers
- Unlocks: quest "A Rocky Relationship"
Quest "A Rocky Relationship"[]
- Badge: Rancher
- Unlocked by: completing the quest "Ring the Bell, DeVoe"
- Objectives:
- Tame a Trog by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an aggressive Trog (that spawns in Canyon biomes during the day) for 5 seconds.
The use of Stun Bombs or even better a trap (like described in the quest hints for "Fall for you") is highly recommended, since Trogs have a long reach and can strongly push your player character backwards. Standing in Water or any other liquid might prevent from being pushed. - Tame a Dustevil by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an aggressive Dustevils (that spawns in Canyon biomes during the day) for 5 seconds.
The use of Stun Bombs or even better a trap (like described in the quest hints for "Fall for you") is highly recommended, since Dustevils can hurl your player character really high up in the air. Standing in Water or any other liquid might prevent your player character from being pushed.
- Tame a Trog by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an aggressive Trog (that spawns in Canyon biomes during the day) for 5 seconds.
- Rewards: 20 Trog Horns, 20x Dustevil Dust and 20 Stun Bombs
- Unlocks: quest "Ice To Meet You"
Quest "Ice To Meet You"[]
- Badge: Rancher
- Unlocked by: completing the quest "A Rocky Relationship"
- Objectives:
- Tame an Arctic Miru by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an aggressive Arctic Miru (that spawns on Snow, Ice and Peakstone in biomes like Frozen Oceans, Frozen Deserts, Taigas, snowy Tundras, snowy Mountains or (rarely) snowy Canyons during the night or in complete darkness) for 7,5 seconds.
The use of Stun Bombs or even better a trap (like described in the quest hints for "Fall for you") is recommended, since Arctic Mirus can use a blinding attack that will usually interrupt the taming process. - Tame a Blizzard Chizzard by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at a defensive Blizzard Chizzard (that spawns on Snow and Ice in cold biomes like Frozen Oceans, Frozen Deserts, Taigas, snowy Tundras, snowy Mountains or (rarely) snowy Canyons during the day) for 5 seconds.
The use of Stun Bombs or even better a trap (like described in the quest hints for "Fall for you") is recommended, since Blizzard Chizzards cannot only deal cold damage over time, they can also push your player character away. Even as soon as they just start to use their dive attack, the taming process is often already interrupted. - Build an Ice Home with 50 Ice blocks. You can collect Ice from Frozen Oceans (there's usually a layer of thin flat Snow on top), or from frozen rivers in many cold biomes, or you can simply place units of Water or Bog Water into cold biomes high up, like on the top of snow-covered Mountains so that the liquid will freeze to Ice. Actually, you do not really have to build a house-like structure at all, you can simply place the 50 blocks of Ice wherever and however you like, and it might even be possible to place just one block of Ice 50 times...
- Rewards: 20 Arctic Miru Eyes, 20 Blizzard Chizzard Gizzards and 20 Freeze Resistance Potions
- Unlocks: quest "Burning For You"
Quest "Burning For You"[]
- Badge: Rancher
- Unlocked by: completing the quest "Ice To Meet You"
- Objectives:
- Tame an Hot Foot by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an aggressive Hot Foot (that spawns on Lava layer blocks like Hardened Lava, Igneous Rocks, Sulfur and Diamond Nodes) for 10 seconds.
The use of Stun Bombs or even better a trap (like described in the quest hints for "Fall for you") is recommended, or at least consuming any type of Food that prevents or even reverses fire damage. Fire Resistance Potions only reduce fire damage for 50%. - Tame a Warmworm by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an aggressive immobile Warmworm (that spawns on Lava layer blocks like Hardened Lava, Igneous Rocks, Sulfur and Diamond Nodes) for 10 seconds.
It is recommended to place any type of block right in front of the Warmworm and then to tame it across the block while standing on the other side of the block. The lava "fountains" of Warmworms does not set flammable blocks on fire. - Build a Lava Jacuzzi with 10 units of liquid Lava. Equip a Diamond Mining Cell or Lumite Mining Cell and either scoop up liquid Lava from pools that you can find on the Lava layer or produce Lava yourself by throwing Fire Bombs or Flaming Skulls on Hardened Lava blocks or by performing a Gauntlet Smash on Hardened Lava blocks. For this quest, it does not really matter how or where you place the liquid Lava. The fire damage of Hot Feet does not set flammable blocks on fire (different to Shrewdshrews' attacks).
- Tame an Hot Foot by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an aggressive Hot Foot (that spawns on Lava layer blocks like Hardened Lava, Igneous Rocks, Sulfur and Diamond Nodes) for 10 seconds.
- Rewards: 20 units of Gunpowder, 20 Warmworm Teeth and 20 Fire Resistance Potions
- Unlocks: quest "Slumber Party"
Quest "Slumber Party"[]
- Badge: Rancher
- Unlocked by: completing the quest "Burning For You"
- Objectives:
- Tame a Night Chizzard by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an aggressive Night Chizzard (that spawns on Shores, around Wildwood trees in Jungles and in Tundras only at night in dark areas) for 7,5 seconds.
The use of Stun Bombs or even better a trap (like described in the quest hints for "Fall for you") is recommended, since Night Chizzards will use a dive attack frequently, and even as soon as they start to fly up, the taming process is often already interrupted. - Tame a Night Pigsy by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an aggressive Night Pigsy (that spawns in many biomes like Forests, Grasslands, Swamplands, Woodlands, Savannahs, Canyons or snowless Tundras in dark areas at night, but also during the day in the darkness of Caves in the Fossil layer and Stalactite layer not far underground) for 7,5 seconds.
The use of Stun Bombs or even better a trap (like described in the quest hints for "Fall for you") is recommended, since Night Pigsies can push your player character backwards and upwards, which will interrupt the taming process. - Tame a Night Rockster by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an aggressive Night Rockster (that spawns on Shores at night in dark areas, but also during the day in the darkness of Caves in the Fossil layer and Stalactite layer not far underground) for 7,5 seconds.
The use of Stun Bombs or even better a trap (like described in the quest hints for "Fall for you") is recommended, since the spin attack of Night Rocksters will push your player character backwards, which will interrupt the taming process. - Place 10 LEDs for your Night Club. First unlock the crafting recipe for LEDs by crafting or obtaining Wood Burning Lamps, crafting a Wiring Tool, and crafting at least one Switch. Then craft 2 LEDs at a time with 4 Stone Slabs, 2x Coal and 4 Glass blocks. You can place one LED, pick it up again and repeat it 10 times in total.
- Tame a Night Chizzard by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at an aggressive Night Chizzard (that spawns on Shores, around Wildwood trees in Jungles and in Tundras only at night in dark areas) for 7,5 seconds.
- Rewards: 20 Arcstones, 1 placeable Diamond Treasure Chest, 1 Red Party Hat, 1 Yellow Party Hat and 1 Blue Party Hat
- Unlocks: quest "Thing 1 & Thing 2"
Quest "Thing 1 & Thing 2"[]
- Badge: Rancher
- Unlocked by: completing the quest "Slumber Party"
- Objectives:
- Tame 2 Things by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at one aggressive Thing after another (that spawn on Corrupted Blocks of all kinds, so mainly on the Corruption layer deep underground) for 30 seconds.
The use of Stun Bombs or even better a trap (like described in the quest hints for "Fall for you") is recommended, since the taming process takes quite long and the Thing hits hard, even though it will very rarely interrupt the taming process. - Throw 5 Corrupt Bombs. Unlock their crafting recipe by crafting a Lumite Mining Cell, crafting or obtaining Armor-Piercing Bombs and obtaining Corruption Dust from any aggressive Corrupted Creature. Craft 4 Corrupt Bombs at a time from 5 Corrupted Stone blocks mined with at least a Diamond Mining Cell, 2x Corruption Dust, 2x Gunpowder and 1 Bar of Lumite, made from Lumite Ore that can solely be extracted from Lumite Nodes on the Corruption layer.
- Clean Corruption by placing 3 Healing Beacons. Actually, the quest does not check where exactly you place the beacons and if they really purify any corrupted blocks or corrupted water. Unlock the crafting recipe for Healing Beacons by crafting or obtaining a Diamond Mining Cell, crafting White Beacons (after obtaining Coal and forging Glass), collecting Corruption Dust and then craft 2 Healing Beacons at a time with 2 Obsidian Slabs, 2x Corruption Dust, 10 (blocks of) Stalactite mined with at least an Obsidian Mining Cell on the Stalactite layer, 2 Trog Horns and 4 Iron Rods made of Iron Bars in a Processor.
- Tame 2 Things by equipping a Taming Collar, readying it and pointing it at one aggressive Thing after another (that spawn on Corrupted Blocks of all kinds, so mainly on the Corruption layer deep underground) for 30 seconds.
- Rewards: 20 Lumite bars, 2 placeable Diamond Treasure Chests and 20 Corruption Resistance Potions
- Unlocks: quest "Friendzilla"
Quest "Friendzilla"[]
- Badge: Rancher
- Unlocked by: completing the quest "Thing 1 & Thing 2"
- Objectives:
- Place 30 Obsidian Brick Walls. Or place even more to be safe.
- Place 10 Sand Blocks. Actually, tests have shown that Sand blocks by themselves will NOT make Rockzilla spawn, instead Seashells can help with summoning Rockzilla. Seashells will spawn over time on blocks of Sand, albeit slowly. In order to summon Rockzilla faster, you might rather want to place 10-20 blocks of either Corals, Shorewood, Shorewood Husk, Shorewood Leaves, Driftwood or Seashells that you have collected yourself from Shores. And of course you'll have to place them adjacently to the Obsidian Brick Walls, not somewhere far away.
- Place 5 Torches. The quest reacts to Coal Torches. Better place 10 of them and place them either directly on the Obsidian Brick Walls, or at least adjacent to these blocks. However, you can use nearly any crafted luminaires in order to "summon" Rockzilla.
- Wait for Rockzilla to spawn and tame it. Please note that Rockzilla will not spawn at night and not all biomes/areas seem to be suitable for Rockzilla. Also, do not build Rockzilla's altar too close to your touchstone. Don't stay in the area, but walk a few biomes further away, use a bed to let the next day spawn before you return. Try it once again a lot later - do not visit and re-visit the altar too often. If Rockzilla does not spawn within a reasonable timespan, try building an altar somewhere else. In some areas, it might take really long - maybe even a full RL day - until the giant crab spawns, in other areas it might spawn after building the altar, leaving the area and returning right away...
- Rewards: 3 Diamond Treasure Chests and 1 Lumite Mining Cell
- Unlocks: Rancher Badge that will reduce the timespan for taming drastically for all tameable Creatures
Please note that you might have to relog (exit the game, wait for a few minutes, log in again) in order to complete the quest "Friendzilla" and be granted the Badge properly.
If you can't receive the badge after the Rockzilla taming quest even after relogging, please notify Playful via support@playfulcorp.com and describe your problem as detailed as you can.
New Block Shapes[]
With update R58 on December 19th, 3 more block shape sets were added for free for #TeamGoo (see: Battle of the Block Sets community contest):
- Full set of shape variants added for Green Blocks of Goo: Green Goo Columns, Green Goo Slabs, Green Goo Slopes, Green Goo Rounded Slopes, Green Goo Stairs, Green Goo Slope Inner Corners, Green Goo Slope Outer Corners, Green Goo Stairs Inner Corners, Green Goo Stairs Outer Corners.
- Full set of shape variants added for Purple Blocks of Goo: Purple Goo Columns, Purple Goo Slabs, Purple Goo Slopes, Purple Goo Rounded Slopes, Purple Goo Stairs, Purple Goo Slope Inner Corners, Purple Goo Slope Outer Corners, Purple Goo Stairs Inner Corners, Purple Goo Stairs Outer Corners.
- Full set of shape variants added for Orange Blocks of Goo: Orange Goo Columns, Orange Goo Slabs, Orange Goo Slopes, Orange Goo Rounded Slopes, Orange Goo Stairs, Orange Goo Slope Inner Corners, Orange Goo Slope Outer Corners, Orange Goo Stairs Inner Corners, Orange Goo Stairs Outer Corners.
Also, another full set of shape variants was added for the wintry Gingerbread Wall: Plain Gingerbread Slabs, Plain Gingerbread Columns, Plain Gingerbread Slopes, Plain Gingerbread Stairs, Plain Gingerbread Slope Inner Corners, Plain Gingerbread Slope Outer Corners, Plain Gingerbread Stairs Inner Corner, Plain Gingerbread Stairs Outer Corners and a special flat slab without collision mesh, the Plain Gingerbread Eighth. (No Plain Gingerbread Rounded Slopes though.)
Please note that the Gauntlet Smash will transform ALL the new goo block shapes into permanent Globs of Goo if the Power Attack is performed next to these block shapes with either a Diamond Mining Cell or Lumite Mining Cell equipped. These colored Blots of Goo can only be removed with an Excavator or any type of TNT. Since April 19th 2019, these Blots can also be removed with a second Gauntlet Smash, which again requires the according permission rank on the game world or player claim.
Globs of Goo are no longer made in a Processor, but crafted instead[]
Please note that green, orange and purple Globs of Goo can no longer be processed in a Processor, but have become crafting recipes in the Crafting Menu instead. The crafting recipe for Green Globs of Goo unlocks by obtaining a block of Mold, while the crafting recipes for both purple and orange Globs of Goo are unlocked by obtaining green Globs of Goo.
Other changes: richer pet-harvest and craftable Death Statues[]
As mentioned above, Pets provide three times the amount of "loot" from harvesting compared to the content of loot bags of the same Creatures when they are killed, which of course also holds true for Globs of Goo. This will not change the fact that the loot of Silver Keepas, Golden Keepas will often be of higher quality and will contain more Arcstones than their pet-harvest. Also, Things and Th'angs might still provide more loot when killed.
Moreover, Death Statues can now be crafted from Bones in the Crafting Menu.
